Matt,

Things are not going incredibly well with my fitness and nutrition plan. For one, I'm having difficulty establishing a baseline. I teach at a university and the semester just began and so my schedule is a little erratic right now. I'd like to imagine that once I get into the swing of things, that I'll settle down.

But not only my schedule, but also what I typically eat - there hasn't been much of a typical recently, due to the erratic schedule. This makes establishing a baseline difficult.

Furthermore, I find the interface on the site for specifying meals to be a bit cumbersome. I've never been a calorie counter, and so many things I suspect I'm having more or less than the "one serving size" listed on the box. Also, many of the foods that I eat are not listed - and with the hectic schedule, I don't have time to try to enter in all of them.

As far as fitness goes, I've not been doing great at that. In the past I'd tried to walk to work instead of driving or taking the bus, but presently I have been driving - in part, to save time, in part, to ensure I get there on time, in part, because of forecasts of rain - and also in part out of laziness.

Also, during Friday I appear to have been hit with some sort of 24 hour virus thing, and in the effort to conserve my energy and ensure I am able to return to health, I've been driving instead of walking, and resting instead of getting exercise.

So, things are a little awkward for me right now. As far as a good day for a weekly e-mail, Thursday probably works pretty well, if it must be on a week day. Saturday would be better.

Thanks,
Andrew

Today is Wednesday. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I walked to and from work.

I walked for about an hour on August 9. Of course I had lots of walkingin the airport on August 8 and 11. I haven't gotten much other exercise since then. I'd like to walk today, but we'll see.

Friday, August 4, I also managed to walk to and from work, I think. Or maybe it was Thursday, August 3. One of those. But on one of those days, I drove, because I needed to pick up groceries.

I walked a bit on Friday afternoon, to the Fargo post office and then to the dollar store and then back to my apartment.

I likely won't get much exercise tomorrow. I'm going away on a trip for a few days after that, and should be able to get some walking in during that time. I don't know if I'll be able to write about my exercising then.

I entertained a visitor from July 24-31. July 20-24 some cleaning was done - I'm not sure how much exercise that was. We walked a bit (over one bridge, back on the other (foot) bridge) on July 24. We walked back from work on July 25 (took bus there). We walked around downtown Winnipeg on July 26. We walked to/from/around the Moorhead Center Mall and the Plains Art Museum on July 27. We walked around the Mall of America on July 28 and July 29. We walked around Bonanzaville on July 30.

On August 2 I walked to and from work.
