I think the concept of liturgical dance needs a more fully exposition than I have had the opportunity to see so far. I’d like to see it discussed both in terms of aesthetics and ethics. There is some good history of liturgical dance from a variety of sources but the sort of systemic integrative philosophy that would simultaneously discuss the aesthetics and ethics of it in a manner that is dignified, mature, non-prudish, integrative and comprehensive, is something I have yet to see. Of course, I have more work to do in terms of reading about this.
