The name I chose sucks and I know it

Yes, the name I chose (afraabr) for Andrew’s Feed Reader and Auto-Blogroll does suck, and I know it.

I probably should have consulted The Irate Scotsman’s Guide to Naming Software first, before naming it, but I didn’t feel like it. But I am, incidentally, doing exactly what he suggested in one of those points: post to the blog and solicit some suggestions.

The thing is though, what I’d really like is to first get a bunch of people to use it, see how they use it, and then of those that make the full use of the features in it, ask them what they think would be a good name.

I personally was going to go for “blogblog” because it is applying the blogging metaphor (reverse chronological order) to the management of blogs, but I realize that might be a bit too abstract.

So, what do you think? Got name suggestions? Something better than afraabr?

I say you with “IcedTea” instead of what you already submitted.. People will be intrigued.

What about eliminating some of the letters and call it FRAB? That makes it short and sweet.
You could scam the logo off of FAB and just modify it a bit. Something about triple action. Or will Colgate/FAB get mad?

I thought of blogmatic, but that is already being used. But blogomato or blogomated are not.
If you used bolomato you logo could have a tomato on it.

Ok, I am done!

Some documentation on that which is yet to be given a good name
I like the name suggestions I’ve received so far for that which I’m still trying to find a better name for. The IcedTea suggestion was good for the given reason that it would intrigue people. I am mildly afraid of offending anyone, and the reference …

Bug fix to EyesBoTea with regard to install.php
I totally don’t know how I missed this because I know I did testing for this kind of thing, repeatedly.

Anyway, there was a bug in install.php of eyebotea (formerly afraabr) which maurizio was kind enough to point out. I’ve fixed it. Nothing else …
