The name "We Are Blog" is a play off of WeAreBorg from StarTrek. Just as TheBorg from StarTrek is a networked hive mind of sorts, is the Blogosphere also a networked hive mind of sorts?

If we think of the blogosphere as a whole, is it perhaps the beginning of the Borg collective? People have voluntarily used words such as "blog collective" and "collective blog mind" earlier on. The blogosphere is this great big grand place where all sorts of ideas float around. Eventually will they all settle down and anyone who joins the blogosphere will be "assimilated" into the blog mind?
